Five Spring Fashion Trends Too Cute to Pass Up
Spring is upon us, and it’s almost time to switch out the winter coats for spring dresses and strappy sandals. With the change in weather comes a new season of fashion trends, and if you think they’re just for grown-ups, watch out! These trends are hopping straight off the runway and into your child’s closet:
Stripes, stripes, and more stripes
Big, little, black and white, or multicolored –stripes were all over the runway this spring. Stripes are a classic print that moms love incorporating into their children’s wardrobes, and at Gandzee we’re always on the lookout for a fresh take on our favorite stripes. Check out the adorable striped polo in our Sigma Who? wardrobe collection.
Often, when people think of spring and summer clothes, bright, colors come to mind. Not this year! This spring, neutral colors are taking over. Neutrals aren’t just for winter anymore. Designers are showcasing neutrals in an array of hues for spring, demonstrating that a mix of warm grays, camel browns and whites can offer a chic twist on normal spring clothing faire. No neutral combination was more prevalent on the runway this spring than the classic black and white. Take a black and white outfit, and add a pop of color, such as a pretty pink floral headband or funky green sneakers, and springtime has never looked so good!
With the continuous improvement in technology comes continuous innovation in print design. While floral prints will always be popular for spring, this spring we’re seeing a fun, graphic twist on the florals we’ve come to know and love. Natural prints are being technologically manipulated to create interesting patterns you never saw in your own closet growing up. Check out some of the great prints we’ve included in our BoHo Babe and Jackie O You Got That Right wardrobe collections. There’s even a fun graphic print going on in our Fiora Rosa infant starter wardrobe.
Everyone loves a light, airy fabric for spring and summer. Lace is the go-to fabric this spring, and you’ll find it in our Jackie O You Got That Right wardrobe collection. Dress your daughter in it from head to toe or enjoy the trim on a loose tunic. And since lace is a fabric that dresses up or down, it can handle whatever’s on your little one’s agenda!
Green with Envy
Every year, Pantone names its color of the year. Emerald green is the color of 2013. Emerald green, along with a variety of other green hues, popped up all over the runway this spring. Green is a color that works on all skin tones, and emerald green clothes will transition well from spring to fall, giving your kiddo’s wardrobe more staying power.
We’d love to hear what you think about this spring’s fashion trends! What are you loving this season? Do you have a wee darling who’s sporting emerald green with style? Are there any trends that you wish would go on hiatus?
