A few weeks ago over on the Gandzee Blog we posted a blog called Going...Going...GLITTER! Fabulous Shoes You Wish You Could Squeeze Into! In that blog, we searched far and wide to find the best and cutest shoes to pair with our outfits for girls, but don’t think we forgot about the boys! Now, we scoured the web for the top shoes and paired them with our boy wardrobes to complete your little gentleman’s outfit and make him his most handsome!

Sigma Who?  Our prep filled collection wouldn’t be complete without adding some Sperrys! Like father, like son, these Sperry Top-Sider Halyard Hook and Loop shoes would make any boy look FRATtastic! The hook and loop shoes are easy for your preschooler to get on and off as well. You can get these shoes at Stride Rite.

Out with the Owls and in with the New!

Monday, July 28, 2014 @ 13:48 pm by Gandzee | 0 comments

Out with the owls and in with the new! Every store is carrying owl decor for children’s rooms today. You can hardly go anywhere and miss it. Here at Gandzee we’ve always got our eyes on new upcoming trends. So, keep reading to see what we see for the future to turn your kiddo’s room into a booming castle fit for a prince or princess.

Color is coming back in a big way. No longer is boring old beige in, but everything needs a pop of color nowadays. Another way to embrace color is to use pops of it along white walls or floors so that it isn’t overwhelming. For the little ones, try picking a color scheme and revolving the room around it.

Yet another upcoming bedroom trend for children is vintage revival.  Wallpaper is making it’s return giving rooms a classic timeless feel that is age appropriate.

Painting the ceiling is a popular trend among parents. The ceiling is a focal point of the room even when the rest of the decor isn’t so attention getting. Painting the ceiling focuses on simplicity and can make for a modern look in your little one’s room.

No matter what you do, make sure to include your little one in on the fun so that their room can be a place that feels like their own. And THAT is a trend that will never go out of style.

Dressing your family for the heat can be the ultimate challenge but packing for the heat can be an even more extreme battle. When traveling in the summertime, it is essential to pack many different layers (look back at our previous blog post for some suggestions). Make sure you pack all different types of clothes when traveling to a place where you aren’t familiar with the weather. Some ideas for must haves are tank tops to keep cool, short sleeves for nightly family outings, shorts, a cardigan for cool evenings, and at least one dressier outfit.

Chalk it up!

Nothing says summer quite like the quintessentially children’s chalk drawings along driveways, sidewalks, and pavement everywhere. We’ve picked out our favorite chalk and toys to bring out your child’s and your very own creative side. Who says adults can’t color? (well maybe not in the lines!)
